Tuesday with Taddeo - Rough Encounter with Plant Feed

We all know how teenagers like to rebel. This rule applies in the human world AND in the cat world, it seems.

Taddeo's rebellion comes out in many forms. He chews on Mamma F's flowers, does his doings in the plant soil, performs acrobatic feats on the balcony railing (completely unaware of the 15 foot fall below him), and so on.

The other day, he took a risk that even HE wasn't prepared for!

He drank plant feed.

This is the result.

Oooo...not feeling so good....

Can't...even...roll...over...

He was out of commission for a good half hour, eyes closed and tummy bear. All of the humans gave him endless belly rubs and attention, with the hope that he would show some signs of improvement. We were all pretty concerned as Taddeo is a cat who never ever stays still, and were actually on the point of taking him to the vet.

If I close my eyes, I can pretend it didn't happen.

Thankfully, he did start to perk up after about an hour of lying as still as a statue on the bench. (Notice big sister Ginger looking at him with an air of superiority. You know, you had your moments when you were a kitten too, Gin Gin!)

We sure hope that he has learned his lesson. Sometimes a risk too far is enough to put a cat back on the straight and narrow!

Happy Tuesday!

OMC, that would have scared SS +++++. We would have been at the vet pronto if she found that I had eaten/drunk anything funny. I was inadvertantly poisoned once and is now left with chronic liver/kidney damage.

Wow, ok - so he drank the plant food...now if he was to eat some catnip...he'd have his own garden of it already in his tummy! Brilliant!
